English: Photo of Marilyn Monroe while filming The Seven Year Itch on the streets of New York. She apparently stopped at some point during the shooting of the famous "skirt scene" and posed for the reporters and photographers who were covering the film shoot. Captions

Marilyn Monroe stands over a subway grating, underneath which fans were placed to provide the breeze necessary to blow up the blond actress's skirt. Miss Monroe's street scene acting attracted huge crowds of New Yorkers. She left by plane just after.
