Italiano: Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (inv. nr. 112222). Da Pompeii, Casa della Rissa nell'Anfiteatro (I, 3, 23) - L'affresco, famosissimo, è uno dei pochi che mostra un'ambientazione ed un episodio realistici. E' ritratto fedelmente l'anfiteatro di Pompei, con le mura della città alle sue spalle e la grande palestra con piscina centrale alla sua destra. L'episodio ritratto è quello della rissa scoppiata fra Pompeiani e Nucerini nell'anno 59 d.C. in cui ci furono numerosi morti, tanto da indurre il Senato Romano a proibire nell'anfiteatro di Pompei l'esecuzione dei giochi gladiatorii per ben dieci anni. L'episodio viene narrato dallo storico Tacito (Annali, XIV, 17).
