  • Possum → Possum (Australasia) – (Discuss) – This is a long time coming, but simply put, this is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of the term "Possum". Possum is also commonly used for "Opossum", and is what Canadian, American, and many other readers are really looking for when searching for that term (and indeed, that's the origin of the name of Australian possums). Opossum gets more page views than Possum, and it's likely that a lot of hits for "Possum" are actually looking for the other. The incoming links show many misdirected links intending opossum, and the comments in the previous sections show confusion going back 10 years. Other disambiguation options for the Australasian possums are available, but to avoid confusion the dab page should be at the base name Possum.   • Feast 3: The Happy Finish → Feast III: The Happy Finish – (Discuss) – The title of the film is Feast III: The Happy Finish not Feast 3: The Happy Finish (based on the IMDb website)— it instead appears to be an original research addition for some reason other than actual title accuracy. On more than one occasion now, an anonymous IP has gone around Wikipedia actively breaking links to this article by prematurely rewording them to the correct title despite the fact that it makes them redlinks, so I'm submitting this for discussion on their behalf since they likely don't know how to do it themselves — but if this is going to keep happening, then the title needs to be fixed. 115.135.77.5 (talk) 00:08, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

  • Pokharel → Pokhrel – (Discuss) – This page is a list of names of people. Even so, not one of the people in this list are actually named what the title of this page currently is. Every single one of them has the name Pokhrel, which for some reason redirects to Laxmi Prasad Devkota. If there is some reason why the requested title currently goes to that name, then we could send it to Pokhrel (surname) instead. Thanks, Gluons12 talk 22:38, 8 October 2016 (UTC).
  • Mar Thoma Syrian Church → Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church – (Discuss) – As per the official website of this denomination, the english name is Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. Source: http://marthoma.in/ This is also the name that is used in all published books and materials of the church. And this name is also used in common parlance among the members of this denomination as well as several other denominations. Note: Both the existing name of this page and the proposed name is used interchangeably in common parlance. Additionally, the church is registered under the Societies Registration Act and other relevant acts in force in India, with this name. Source: I could not find an online source for the official list of Religious Organisations of India. The existing name Mar Thomas Syrian Church is only used a short form of the official name. However the name currently in use in this page has been used as a source of several arguments and offensive attacks against members of this church, to denote them as not an official Malankara Church, but just as a outcast church.   • Afro-Guyanese → African-Guyanese – (Discuss) – People of the Caribbean now say African Caribbean. Therefore Guyanese will say African-Guyanese.   • Discovery Channel → Discovery (TV channel) – (Discuss) – Recently in a new logo put out in July this year, the channel introduced a new styled globe with the word "Discovery" under it.   • Tails (character) → Miles "Tails" Prower – (Discuss) – Per WP:NATURALDIS, "Tails (character)" is an ambiguous title that requires disambiguation, but use of this is unnecessary as "Miles 'Tails' Prower" is natural disambiguation. Previous arguments for "Tails (character)" as the title erroneously referenced sources about the overall Sonic series where "Tails" would not be ambiguous, but the only time the character's shortened name of "Tails" is not ambiguous is within the context of the Sonic series itself. So while all sources that refer to the character as simply "Tails" have already established that the subject is within the Sonic series, other sources that talk about the Tails character separate from the Sonic series such as this Cracked article, or this GamesRadar article use the character's full name to unambiguously identify their subject. And that does not go into all the articles that use the full franchised name regardless of talking about the Sonic series like this IGN article, or that on top of this is the fact that the character's owner, Sega, very frequently identifies the character by its franchised name "Miles 'Tails' Prower." This means "Miles 'Tails' Prower" meets the requirements of WP:COMMONNAME and most importantly, according to WP:NATURALDIS, "Miles 'Tails' Prower" is the preferred title for this character article; "Tails" would only be appropriate within some Sonic series wiki.   • Yamada Line → Yamada Line (Iwate) – (Discuss) – The current Yamada Line article does not seem a primary topic according to an important indicator: incoming wikilinks. The current Yamada Line article has 139 incoming wikilinks, while Yamada Line (Kintetsu) article has 171. It does not mean that Yamada Line (Kintetsu) article is a primary topic, however, it would be better to place an disambiguation page at the base name: Yamada Line.   • Fox Networks Group → Fox Networks Group (divisions) – (Discuss) – Fox Networks Group is not the name for Fox Entertainment Group's cable networks group; what it is is the name for Fox's domestic (a.k.a. US) cable networks group. According to news articles put out recently, Fox recently restructured its Fox International Channels international cable networks group into three international cable networks groups, creating Fox Networks Group Europe, Fox Networks Group Latin America, and Fox Networks Group Asia. After proposing a split for the international channel groups from the US grouping, I was told that the three international groupings need to separately meet WP:NOTE (which they currently don't). So then, I figured a better option/idea was then to rename the article, after which the listings for the four groupings could be placed into the article under their own subsections. – 76.235.248.101 (talk) 13:25, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Park Jae-kyung → Pak Jae-gyong – (Discuss) – "Park" is almost exclusively a South Korean/Korean American spelling and is not used in North Korea. 8 GBooks hits for "General Pak Jae-gyong" vs. 3 for "General Park Jae-kyung".   • Maletinazo → Suitcase scandal – (Discuss) – It is a name composed by words in English, and may be easier to understand for readers who do not know Spanish well. The word "Maletinazo" is not an actual word, it is basically "Maletín" (suitcase) with an "azo" suffix, which is usually used to name scandals.   • Final Fight (series) → Final Fight – (Discuss) – The Final Fight series seems to meet the following criteria on WP:NCVG:

    "...If a video game series has a naming conflict solely with the first game in the series (e.g., Final Fantasy), the series page should reside at the primary name if the series possesses a minimum of 3 video game articles as well as at least one other unrelated video game or related media item. Otherwise, the first game in the series should occupy the primary name, and the series article should be disambiguated with "... (series)"."

  • Ashaant → Vishnu Vijaya – (Discuss) – It's more commonly known by it's Kannada name Vishnu Vijaya. Hindi version was unsuccessful at the box office, while the Kannada version became a major success.[1] Most common and well-known name should be used. So it should be renamed and moved to Vishnu Vijaya.

The Tamil and the Telugu versions were unsuccessful at the box office, while the Kannada version became a major success.[1][2][3] Telugu and Tamil received mixed reviews while the Kannada version received positive reviews.[4][5][6] So it should be renamed and move to Oggarane (film).

  • Desiderius Erasmus → Erasmus – (Discuss) – He is pretty much invariably known mononymously as Erasmus and this name already redirects here. I can't see any reason to also have his first name (which actually wasn't his first name, as explained in the article!), almost never used, in the title.   • Robert Larner College of Medicine → ? – (Discuss) – The University of Vermont College of Medicine was recently (9/23/2016) renamed "The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont". I have personally attempted to reflect this change in the title of the respective article twice, but have both times been rebuffed on the basis of the "The" and "Honorific" article naming policies. I do not believe the "Honorific" policy is appropriate, as the title of the article is intended to reflect the legal name of the organization in question, which was recently officially changed. Similarly, I do not believe the "The" policy should stand, as the name is explicitly written as such on the school's official website (http://www.uvm.edu/medicine; e.g. "As the 7th oldest medical school in the nation, The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine has a longstanding reputation for educating and training superb physicians and scientists, fostering groundbreaking research to improve patients' lives, and actively engaging with the community of Vermont and the region."). I thus request that the article be parmanently moved to the new location of "The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine" or "The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont.   • Astro Theater → Rose Blumkin Performing Arts Center – (Discuss) – The current name has not been in use for decades (see cites in article). The proposed new name is already a redirect to the current name. On the other hand, if the subject's notability is mainly due to the building's listing on the National Register of Historic Places, then the current name may be appropriate.   • Chung Cheng High School → Chung Cheng High School (Main) – (Discuss) – Chung Cheng High School (Main) (CCHMS in short), is the official distinguished name of the institution itself, which was adopted in 1947 to differentiate it from its branch school (Chung Cheng High School (Yishun)) since both affiliated schools (despite under different administrations) are still using the same school family name. The official name, CCHMS, is reflected on its official school website [16], as well as educational and street directories. [17],[18],[19]. Thus, it would be fair for the article name "Chung Cheng High School (Main)" to be used instead of "Chung Cheng High School" which brings up ambiguity to the subject. Strictly speaking, article name "Chung Cheng High School" should only be used to refer to the institution between 1939 to 1947, that is before Chung Cheng High School (Branch) was set up.   • Raynaud's → Raynaud syndrome – (Discuss) – Sources don't appear to use simply Raynaud's which looks largely meaningless. ICD-10 uses "Raynaud syndrome" and ICD-9 uses "Raynaud's syndrome", other databases call it either "Raynaud's phenomenon" or "Raynaud's disease".   • Djibouti (city) → Djibouti City – (Discuss) – This has been proposed before, with not much discussion previously. From what I can tell, it is common for the city to be called either "Djibouti" or "Djibouti City" in English. (We currently use "(city)" to disambiguate the article name from the country, which shares the same name and is at Djibouti.) It is difficult to conduct searches to determine which is more common, since the majority of the hits that result from "Djibouti" alone are going to be for the country. But I get 330,000+ for a Wikipedia-less search of "Djibouti City", with around 3000 in google books, 800 in google news, and 300 in google scholar – so the proposed form is not uncommon.   • G8+5 → G7+5 – (Discuss) – The title of this article is obsolete since 2014, because after the expulsion of Russia from the G8, the group has again become the G7, and therefore the article should be renamed as the G7+5. (The "G8+5" should be put as a history section of the renamed (and enlarged) article.) The expulsion of Russia looks more or less permanent (since neither side will budge on the issue of the annexation of Crimea, the reason for its expulsion), so the request can be made.
