Orphaned non-free media (File:ECRATER-Logo.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:ECRATER-Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 10:51, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Since you haven't evidently officially been welcome, let me take the opportunity welcome you to Wikipedia. (Behind the link, there are policies & guidelines you might find useful.) I'm glad if I was able to help at the neutral point of view noticeboard. When I came over to see if you had been welcome, though, I noticed that you had a copy of the eCRATER article on your userpage and that this had not been edited in some time. I have taken the liberty of blanking this. There are two issues here: first, we don't archive copied of other pages in userspace. Second, the page included a non-free image. You cannot display non-free content in userspace, as it doesn't meet our non-free content policy to do so. (This is why, on April 1st, another user had fixed it so that the image would not render: here.) You might want to consider replacing that text with some personal information about you. :)

If you run into any general questions about using Wikipedia, we have some specific resources for new contributors at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page. We also have a general help desk, Wikipedia:Help desk, which is open to anyone. You can even ask a question right here on your talk page. If you place {{helpme}} (brackets and all) next to it, a volunteer will soon respond. You're also more than welcome to stop by my page.

Happy editing. I hope that you enjoy the Wikipedia environment. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:01, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome and for the information, I wasn't aware of that. There's a lot of information here and I haven't got to read all of it yet. I have to be careful, if I let myself, I will lose track of time investigating here :)
I hope I can make some time to contribute more actively. This will be an excellent way to practice my English, maybe I could make some translating in the future.
I appreciate your suggestion, I wouldn't know how to start to describe myself... I never have considered myself very interesting, but I will make an effort :) --Kuraiya (talk) 19:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
